Three more Princess Cruises ships return to service

Princess Cruises will be welcoming guests back onboard three of its ships, the Crown Princess, Island Princess, and Royal Princess.

With the addition of these three ships back in service, it means about 80% of Princess Cruises’ fleet is back in service following the shutdown of the pandemic. Currently Princess Cruise Line has 12 of its ships in service.

Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas arrives in Europe for summer season

Royal Caribbean’s ship the Wonder of the Seas has made its European arrival this week, first docking in Barcelona, Spain.

Wonder of the Seas will be conducting 7-night cruises from Barcelona and Rome for the summer season, beginning on Sunday May 8th.

Norwegian cancels new cruise ship inaugural sailing due to supply chain problems

Due to supply chain issues and challenges that Norwegian Cruise Line has faced, Norwegian Prima’s first sailing has been cancelled.

The cruise line has sent passengers an email, who are currently booked to sail with the new ship. The email explained to guests that the cruise line has been forced to delay Norwegian Prima’s inaugural voyage due to supply chain challenges.

Carnival celebrates its 50th birthday with new venue onboard Carnival Celebration

Founded in 1972, Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating its 50th birthday this year, and will be introducing a new celebration space onboard Carnival Celebration, its newest ship.

Carnival Celebration is set to debut this November 2022. The new venue onboard Carnival Celebration will be called ‘The Golden Jubilee’. This new space onboard will consist of a bar and lounge, and its design will highlight Carnival Cruise Line’s evolution throughout the last 50 years.

The announcement was made this week at the Seatrade Cruise Global Conference in Miami.

Disney Cruise Line summer 2023 bookings open May 9

Starting on May 9th 2022, at 8:00 am ET, guests will be able to book summer 2023 sailings with Disney Cruise Line.

May 9th is the date that the available summer 2023 sailings will be viewable, and bookable by the general public. While passengers who fall under the Castaway Club member program and other select guests, will be able to make bookings for the 2023 summer season as early as May 2nd 2022.

Carnival Cruise Line CEO steps down

Carnival Corporation announced today, April 26, that effective August 1st 2022, the current President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Arnold Donald, will be stepping down from their position. Donald has been appointed Vice Chair, and will be transferring to that position in August, as well as becoming a member of the Board of Directors.

As of August 1st, Arnold Donald will be the Vice Chair for the company, as well as serving on the Boards of Directors for Carnival Corporation.
