Today, October 10th, 2022 Norwegian Cruise Line announced that their newest vessel, the Norwegian Prima completed its first U.S. sailing. This voyage sailed roundtrip, departing from New York City, between October 6-10, 2022. During this sailing, the Prima visited locations such as Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I recently sailed on my very first MSC cruise aboard MSC Seashore, touring the western Caribbean as well as the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas.

I was very excited to try out this new ship from the European cruise line, which is growing its North American presence.

Overall, I very much enjoyed my inaugural MSC cruise, relishing all that the ship had to offer, as well as some incredible port stops.

Here are some of my main takeaways after my weeklong cruise.

When I booked a four-day sailing a while back, I had no idea that I’d be on board for six nights thanks to Hurricane Ian. It was an excellent opportunity to explore the ship fully.

One of the most popular cruise add-ons is drink packages. For a set price, you can indulge in either a fixed number or unlimited premium non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages each day of your sailing. 

While they aren't required to have a great time, drink packages ensure you will have that all-inclusive feeling throughout your cruise. 

If you’re thinking of sailing with Carnival Cruise Line but don’t know which ship to book, you’ve come to the right place. Carnival has some of the most "Fun Ships at Sea," so you’re certainly in for a great time during your cruise!

Currently, Carnival Cruise Line operates 27 ships across its fleet, making it one of the largest cruise lines in the world. These cruise ships are classified into nine different ship classes, each with its own special flair. 

Do you have to be vaccinated to go on a cruise? The answer is quickly changing, but it depends.

The long answer is that vaccine requirements vary by cruise line, cruise ship, and departure port/destination. Currently, major cruise lines are re-evaluating their Covid protocols, including requiring passengers to be vaccinated.  This is largely in part due to Covid becoming far less deadly, and society's desire to move past the lockdowns and restrictions.

Jimmy Buffet's new cruise line, Margaritaville At Sea, sails two-night cruises on an older, refurbished ship that is very enticing for the low prices you can find.

The new cruise line has chosen to convert, refurbish, and re-theme an older vessel for its purposes of bringing guests on a quick visit to The Bahamas, and has named its first ship Paradise. 

I have been lucky enough to travel on some fantastic cruise ships, and up until this last voyage, they were all with Royal Caribbean. Just this summer, I got to experience the cruise line's s newest vessel, Wonder of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world. My family and I toured the Mediterranean on a truly memorable vacation.

Cruise lines are consistently building cruise ships that are bigger and better than anything else built before. Each cruise line adds its own flair and unique attractions to set apart its cruise ships from others in the industry. 

There's no limit on how much fun cruise lines can pack into a cruise ship these days. Even as everyone has slightly different ideas of what fun means to them, there is surely something for everyone onboard.
