Norwegian Cruise Line

This year I have had the privilege of sailing on both the Norwegian Encore and the Norwegian Bliss cruise ships. These massive Norwegian Cruise Line vessels are very similar, but they have some small differences as well. 

This week I returned from my first solo cruise experience with Norwegian Cruise Line, aboard the Norwegian Encore. This was my second time sailing on one of Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Breakaway Plus Class ships, and I really enjoyed this quick 4-night sailing! 

Cruise vacations in my opinion are one of the absolute best ways to travel! Cruising delivers the best of travel experiences at minimal planning, reduced stress, and a fair price. 

The cruise line industry is ever-growing and expanding. It seems like every year, new ships and shinier vessels are hitting the high seas. However, does that mean you should automatically avoid old cruise ships?

While on a spontaneous European standby adventure, I got to try one of the oldest ships in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, the Norwegian Sun. My itinerary was a very quick 2-night sailing that went from Málaga, Spain, to Lisbon, Portugal. 

Norwegian Cruise Line is one of the most popular mainstream cruise lines in the industry. This cruise line has a large fleet with 18 vessels sailing around the world.

While I’ve mostly sailed with Royal Caribbean in my life, I’ve been intrigued more recently by Norwegian Cruise Line. The cruise line’s focus on accessible luxury and exotic itineraries is very appealing to me. For example, Norwegian Cruise Line is the only mainstream cruise line to offer frequent sailings around Africa - and I’d love to try one of these soon!

If you are sailing on a Norwegian cruise in the upcoming future, you might be debating on purchasing one of their drink packages. 

When it comes to cruise travel, most prospective guests tend to gravitate towards the newer ships full of new and exciting amenities and the promise of an epic vacation. But what is it like to sail on an older cruise ship? Specifically, what is it like to sail on an over 20 year old Norwegian Cruise Line ship?

Norwegian Cruise Lines is one of the biggest names in the cruise line industry. Because of their sheer size, Norwegian is able to offer many different types of stateroom and cabins to its guests. I recently sailed onboard the Norwegian Bliss and stayed in a room, that all said and done, cost $1,700 total for the cruise. 

When Norwegian Cruise Line introduced its Breakaway Plus class of ships, it introduced a revolutionary new onboard form of entertainment to the cruise line industry - the Norwegian Speedway.
